As we enter the month of March, the last Dalmatian hotspot to have been spared from snowfall finally succumbs to winter

In the last couple of days, not a single place in all of Croatia was spared from freezing temperatures and at least a moderate dose of snow – not even the coast.

Hvar is covered with a white blanket, people on Brač island have developed their own peculiar winter service, and even Palagruža – one of the most remote Croatian islands – got a frosty makeover for the first time since 2012.

And yet, one city has managed to escape snowfall up to this point. Zadar is officially the last city on the coast to see some snow, reports Morski.hr on March 1, 2018. 

It’s not much, they said, and the frosty sheet will probably vanish overnight – but if nothing else, it made the kids happy.
