June the 15th, 2025 – The beautiful AC Hotel by Marriott Split has been declared the best European hotel in its category, further spotlighting Croatian tourism on the global map.
As Poslovni Dnevnik writes, the AC Hotel by Marriott Split, located within Split’s widely appreciated Dalmatia Tower, has held the convincing first place on the “Intent to Recommend” (ITR) table for half a year now.
This title is an internal parameter of Marriott International, the world’s largest and most prestigious hotel chain. It uses sophisticated technology and algorithms to measure guest satisfaction. Its function is to assess how willing guests are to recommend a certain Marriott hotel to others, which directly affects the brand’s reputation and business results.
ITR is by far the most important parameter of Marriott International, which is crucial for guest loyalty, service optimisation, and internal evaluation of facilities within the hotel network. It’s clear then that for the AC Hotel by Marriott Split, it is of strategic importance that it holds first place in the competition of as many as 90 AC by Marriott hotels across Europe.
The director of AC Hotel by Marriott Split, Damir Lukić, said that this success is the result of strategic thinking and dedicated work.
“We’re honoured to have been named the highest rated AC by Marriott hotel in all of Europe in a very tough competition. However, I’d like to emphasise that this is not about recognition or someone’s subjective impression. This is a ranking created by millions of guests from across Europe and is subject to permanent change. With that being said, we’re very pleased that as one of the youngest AC hotels, opened only in 2023, we managed to reach the top and hold that position for almost six months. ITR is Marriott’s most important internal parameter when it comes to evaluating hotels, it’s also generally one of the most important indicators for anyone working in tourism,” explained Lukić, adding that the secret to the success of the AC Hotel by Marriott Split lies primarily in the amenities it offers and the dedicated team of employees who ensure standardised service at the highest level.
The user experience of the delighted guests of the AC Hotel by Split Marriott was certainly not hampered by the beautiful ambience of the Dalmatia Tower. The tower is currently the tallest Croatian skyscraper, standing at an imposing 135 metres high. It is completely glazed and offers a spectacular view of the entire panorama of the City of Split and the sea.
