After a few days of Fresh Air, Temperatures set to rise in Dubrovnik

Lauren Simmonds

Much to the delight of us all, it rained yesterday afternoon and thunder could even be heard. Despite this small yet welcome dose of refreshment, change is around the corner…

Dubrovnik breathed a sigh of relief as temperatures dropped, rain fell, thunder crashed and the entire city got a wash yesterday afternoon, but it looks as if change is on its way as temperatures are set to rise…

As Dubrovacki Dnevnik reported on the 3rd of July, 2017, Prevlaka, Croatia’s southernmost point before the Montenegrin border saw temperatures of over 22 degrees celcius this morning at as early as 06:00, Ploce woke up to 21 degrees celcius, Lastovo woke up to the same and if course, the Pearl of the Adriatic woke up to the warmest temperatures in the area with numbers rising to 22.3 degrees celcius at 06:00.

Although Dubrovnik enjoyed the refreshing (and almost alien) sound of rain hitting the windows, doors slamming with the strong breeze and the sound of distant thunder, it seems it was a short-lived period which we won’t be seeing again for a while…

Time to break the sun creme back out!
