20 Million Kuna: Construction on New Pevec Outlet in Bjelovar Begins

The entire project is expected to be completed by next summer.

As Poslovni Dnevnik writes on the 4th of December, 2017, the Pevec sales center in Bjelovar, as well as the finance, controlling, and part of the legal and personnel organisational unit, are planning to return to their original location next summer.

As was reported by Pevec on Monday, a brand new mall in Bjelovar will be built by the Radnik construction company from the Slovenian capital of Ljubljana, and works unofficially calculated to be worth more than 20 million kuna should be completed by summer 2018.

After Pevec became the owner of the Bjelovar sales center in December 2016 after purchasing it from Erste Bank for five million kuna, all the necessary moves and a prepared location for the demolition of the new center and the subsequent construction of a new center have been completed. Just last week, a construction contract was signed with Križevci Radnik.

Although the company hasn’t publicly specified the exact value of the contract that was signed with Radnik, it is widely assumed that the amount of more than 20 million kuna was estimated by the CEO of Pevec, Jurica Lovrinčević, when he first visited the Bjelovar location back in 2016.

At that time, he announced that the construction of a new sales center would begin in the spring of 2017, but in the meantime the project was modified, and Pevec explained that the desire was to build a facility that will respond to all of their needs in the long term.
