Split’s finest presented at Monaco Boat Show.

The prestigious fair of luxury mega and super yachts the Monaco Yacht Show, which is taking place from 23 to 26 September in Monte Carlo, has opened its doors to many customers, yacht owners and enthusiasts, reports Dalmatinski Portal on September 25, 2015.

Among the nearly 120 most glamorous super yachts in the world, one of the main attractions is the largest Croatian super yacht, Katina, produced in the Brodosplit Shipyard and owned by the Brodosplit Plovidba.

The yacht is 60 metres in length and on its four decks and in six VIP cabins can accommodate 12 passengers, who are looked after by 13 crew members. According to the certificate of the Croatian Register of Ships, it is intended for cruising the Mediterranean Sea and the Caribbean, but also for longer cruises over the oceans.

The hull and superstructure are made of steel. The two 1000 kW engines allow her to sail at speeds greater than 14 knots. The propulsion is managed remotely from the wheelhouse, with an additional portable console. Two pairs of stabilizers ensure a pleasant journey and reduce rocking while the ship is moored. The capacity of the fuel and the water tanks, as well as the space for food storage, allow her to cross 4000 nautical miles.

The kitchen can prepare meals for up to 50 people. The six luxurious VIP guest cabins are located on the upper deck, while the spacious lounge area and meeting rooms can simultaneously accommodate 35 people for business meetings, presentations and entertainment. The entire yacht is covered by an audio-video entertainment system, as well as connections for various devices and the internet network. All four decks are connected by a passenger elevator, while the food from the kitchen is delivered via a dumbwaiter. A special atmosphere in the evenings is created by underwater lights and the illuminated name of the yacht.

The yacht is equipped with a sauna, whirlpool, gym, diving, kayaking and surfing equipment and lots of accessories. Brodosplit Plovidba is involved in the commercialization of the ships built in the Brodosplit Shipyard for its own fleet. With the construction of this yacht, Brodosplit has entered the world of yachts and demonstrated that it can design and build small, medium and large vessels for different purposes.
