Carlsberg Plans to Release New Packaging, Date for Croatian Market Unknown

More stringent rules across the European Union’s single market have given rise to new things.

As Darko Bicak/Poslovni Dnevnik writes on the 9th of September, 2018, Carlsberg’s new packaging will first appear on the British market, and then on the Norwegian market.

The brewery industry is trying to reduce the share of PVC in its business dealings, in line with the increasingly high environmental standards being developed in the European Union.

The latest example is Carlsberg, the popular beer has been operating in the Republic of Croatia since 1993 through its main brand, Pan. Carlsberg recently announced the launch of the Carlsberg Snap Pack, which aims to cut plastic waste down by a massive 1,200 tons per year.

The new packaging is a brand new technology involving a type of glue as opposed to the traditional and environmentally harmful ”six pack” packaging which will likely have a big impact on the environment over the coming years.

Carlsberg have also announced that in the beginning of 2019, they will introduce the packaging in Denmark, while when it comes to other markets, including the Croatian market, Carlsberg Croatia have left it up to the imagination and will keep the date of release a secret in order to protect themselves from potential competition, and the exact date of its presentation in Croatia will be published later.
