Central Dalmatia Tourist Board Reports on Continued Impressive Growth

A press released from Central Dalmatia Tourist Board director Josko Stella, on the continuing growth in the region. 

In the first six months of 2016, the Split-Dalmatia county has received 649 thousand tourists, a 6% increase from the same time last year, with 2.7 million overnight stays, 9% more. The positive trend is due to a larger number of foreign tourists, also a 6% increase with a 10% increase in overnight stays. Domestic tourists came in 7% larger numbers, while their overnight stays fell by 1% compared to last year.

During the month of June 2016 alone, there were 334,000 arrivals by all guests, a 6% increase compared to last June. The guests stayed overnight 1.6 million times, an 8% increase. Foreign tourists account for 312,000 arrivals, a 7% growth and 1.6 million overnights, a 9% increase.
