Croatia Airlines must be doing something right
Croatia Airlines, the national air operator and a Star Alliance member, has scored the first place globally in the respecting passenger rights category. Customer satisfaction related to quality of service, reliable flight schedules and passenger rights are the benchmarks that have won Croatia Airlines the eight place in the overall standings, report Poslovni.hr and net.hr on March 5, 2016.
This latest international research by Air Help, which specializes in evaluating the quality of the commercial air transport and in giving assistance to passengers in exercising their rights, included 30 airlines from around the world and was based on three criteria – customer satisfaction with the quality of service, flying on time and respecting passenger rights.
The eighth place on the list has put Croatia Airlines, which has been in operation for 26 years, ahead of many international airlines with much longer tradition and bigger fleets. Customers have graded it 9,5 out of possible 10 for respecting passenger rights.
This is the second international recognition for the company after AirlineRatings.com, an international internet portal, had recently included it among the safest air carriers among the 407 companies ranked by them.
“Air transport is more than an airplane ticket. This ranking list should indicate to passengers what kind of treatment they can expect from a certain company if there are delays, cancellations or overbooking”, AirHelp said.
Qatar Airways leads the group of carriers included in the Air Help research, followed by KLM Royal Dutch Airlines. Sharing the third place are Air France, Lufthansa and a small Latvian airline Air Baltic. Air Canada placed sixth and Emirates seventh.
