March the 26th, 2024 – The Croatian company Dalekovod has been given prestigious recognition in Norway following the completion of a large and complex project.

As Poslovni Dnevnik writes, the well known Croatian company Dalekovod deals with the design, production and construction of energy and transport infrastructure. It has recently been awarded a prestigious award for outstanding achievements in occupational safety for the year 2023 by Statnett, the Norwegian national transmission system operator. The award was given to Dalekovod for its intense efforts and enviable achievements within the construction project of the 420 kV Lyse – Fagrafjell transmission line, which stretches for 67 kilometres in Norway.

The multi-year project for the construction of the 67-kilometre-long Lyse – Fagrafjell transmission line included the dismantling of the existing 300kV and 132 kV lines in the length of 53 kilometres, and the crossing of two fjords, Lysefjorden and Hogsfjorden. These less than usual and more complicated circumstances additionally confirmed the extensive expertise of Dalekovod’s teams when it comes to special conditions, according to a report from Točka na i.

In the explanation of the award, Statnett highlighted the Croatian company Dalekovod as a shining example of excellence in raising safety standards at work, especially on projects that require a high level of expertise and encompass much more challenging working conditions. The award was accepted on behalf of Dalekovod at a ceremony in the Norwegian capital city of Oslo by Tvrtko Zlopaša, a member of the Dalekovod Management Board, as well as by Eugen Hruška, head of the large Lyse – Fagrafjell project.
