September the 28th, 2023 – The Croatian Mplus Group (Grupa) is entering the challenging and competitive world of e-commerce.
As Poslovni Dnevnik writes, following consolidation within the framework of the development strategy, the Croatian Mplus Group is forming a new business eCommerce vertical that will operate under the brand name Eplus Ventures, the business process technology outsourcing company (BPTO) reported.
In a similar way as was done last year, by entering into a partnership with Manpower, a vertical was formed in the segment of providing integrated human resources management, selection and employment services (Workplace).
2.5 million users
The new vertical, on the other hand, has brought together 2.5 million active and registered users, and annual gross revenues of more than 30 million euros are expected. Darko Horvat, the CEO of the parent company, Meritus Investments, says that “the formation of the Eplus Ventures vertical signifies the continuation of a successful strategy in building business verticals that complement each other through the implementation of innovative and smart solutions and contribute to the growth and development of Mplus Group”.
By concluding a partnership with eCommerce companies, he says, the path to establishing a leading such vertical in Central and Eastern Europe is now being built. “With the synergy of all our members from the BPTO industry, HR, and now also the eCommerce sector, we offer complete and integrated solutions with an increase in the quality of the user experience,” he emphasised. He added that “by providing services to users in thirteen different markets through eleven web shops and online marketplaces, the Croatian Mplus Group now brings together platforms that mostly operate in the beauty, healthcare and travel segments”.
Impressive revenue
In its further development, the Croatian Mplus Group’s primary focus is going to be placed on the markets of Croatia, Slovenia, Germany and Italy, with a plan to position itself as the leading operator of eCommerce platforms in that part of Europe. It’s worth noting that the Croatian Mplus Group generated an enormous 127 million euros in revenue in the first half of the year alone, a very impressive 52% more than last year.
