First Bitcoin Store Opens in Split!

Have you heard about the new Bitcoin Store in Split?

Bitcoin Store, the first Croatian exchange to buy and sell crypto values and functions as an office opened last week in Split. The exchange office is located on Hrvatske mornarice 1C across from the Slobodna Dalmacija building, and the working hours are from 9 am to 4 pm, reports Rep.hr on May 2, 2018.

The director and co-owner of the Bitcoin Store, Tomislav Vajić, whose Digital Assets company entered the crypto value field in 2013 with the opening of the BitKon stock exchange, said the idea behind launching a currency exchange where crypto values can be converted into the kuna and vice versa, is the convergence of the crypto value to those who want to trade them and have limited knowledge about using computers. At the moment at the Bitcoin Store, you can buy or sell 18 crypto valves – the cash transaction fee will amount to five percent or three percent for transactions through the account. Every customer who is paid cash receives a fiscalized account, and in accordance with the legal rules applicable to currency exchange offices, the Bitcoin Store will ask for client documents in situations where transactions exceed the value of 15,000 kuna.

Asked about future interest, on the first day of business, Vajić pointed to the case of an older lady who came to the office.

“Just when I thought I should explain that she came into the wrong door, she fired like a cannon to buy Ripple for 3500 kuna,” says Vajić, who says his colleagues and he did not believe what they heard, and an additional surprise came because they had not yet done any test transactions. They set up the woman with a paper wallet, and she left with Ripple in her pocket. Later they learned that the woman lived in the neighborhood, and her son had turned her onto crypto values and advised her to buy Ripple when the store opened.

Vajić plans to open exchange offices like this in major Croatian cities – the first will come to Zagreb this summer, and then Rijeka in June.
