ZAGREB, July 16, 2018 – A total of 1.044 million passengers passed through Croatian airports in May, an increase of 16.3% from May 2017, while the number of passengers in the first five months of this year was 2.469 million, up 14.5%, the national statistical office has reported.
The largest number of passengers, 301,377, was recorded at Split Airport, an 18.5% increase compared to May last year, while Zagreb Airport was second, with 299,771 passengers, up 12.3%, and Dubrovnik Airport, with 289,564 passengers, an increase of 14.8%.
A total of 1,005 tonnes of cargo was transported via airports in the country, an increase of 47.6% from May 2017.
A total of 12,725 flights were recorded by the country’s nine airports, an increase of 10.9% from May 2017.
In the first five months of this year, a total of 34,567 flights were recorded, an increase of 8.6%.
