Dogus Group plans to complete their 25 million Euro investment in D-Marin Dalmatia by opening a Beach Club on Friday evening
“The ceremonial opening of the Beach Club based on a unique concept in our D-Marin Dalmatia marina, we are completing another investment in Croatian tourism, where since 2009 we have invested 237 million Euro and created jobs for 350 employees,” a Dogus Group statement said, adding that with future investments the value will increase to 350 million Euro, Tportal.hr reported on July 15, 2016.
The Turkish Dogus Group has three marinas in Croatia, D-Marin Mandalina in Šibenik, D-Marin Dalmatia in Sukošan and D-Marin Borik in Zadar, while their luxury hotels portfolio includes D-Resort Šibenik and Villa Dubrovnik.
D-Marin Dalmatia is the largest on the Adriatic and one of a few who have their own beach with a Blue Flag for sea purity, whose offer is now upgraded with the opening of the Beach Club.
The Dogus Group stated that in their D-Marin chain of marinas they have 11 in the Aegean, Ionian and Adriatic seas, starting with their first marina in 2003 in Turkey.
In June 2015 the total capacity of D-Marinas was increased to 8.570 berths after signing a management contract with Dukley Marina Budva in Montenegro, while in 2014 they increased their ACI share to 10,86 percent.
Besides marinas, the Dogus Group in Croatia is investing in hotels so last summer they opened the luxury D-Resort Šibenik, as their first greenfield investment in Croatia, while in 2018 they plan to finish work in Zadar on turning the old Maraska factory into a five-star hotel with 120 rooms with accompanying luxury residential areas with 80 apartments and a commercial zone with shops, restaurants, cafe bars, an 80 million Euro investment.
