The news was released on the singer’s 70th birthday.

Just a few hours after we celebrated the singer’s 70th birthday on Total Croatia News, Aquarius Records have unfortunately had to announce the cancellation of Oliver’s two sold-out shows at Spaladium Area in Split this month, reports Slobodna Dalmacija on December 7, 2017.

The press release transmitted in full:

The legendary 70-year-old singer Oliver Dragojević has been forced to cancel both Split concerts for medical reasons. Oliver, as the public has become familiar, has been struggling with a severe illness for months now. The concerts titled “OLIVER’s 70” with the Zagreb Philharmonic, to be held on December 15th and 16th at Split’s Spaladium Arena, will be canceled until the end of treatment.

It is tough for Oliver to disappoint the audience who has been watching him for so many years, but we all believe in a positive outcome and new concerts,” read the official statement from Oliver’s team.
