The company from Feričanci knew their Cuvee Miraz 2015 could go up against the best global wines. This was confirmed at one of the most prestigious wine competitions carefully followed by admirers of Merlot and Cabernet. This year in the Italian Bergamo at the 13th Emozioni dal Mondo came 256 samples of wine from 23 countries, rated by 76 judges, and the superior Cuvee Miraz 2015 from the heart of Slavonia took 86,2 points and a gold medal, Hotpost.net.hr published on October 31, 2017.
This harmonious coupage of Frankovka (50%), Merlot (30%), Cabernet Sauvignon (10%) and Cabernet Franc (10%) has a modern style, is soft, warm and full. Its pronounced fruitiness blends with lovely herbal and spice notes. It had a lively ruby, compact, almost impenetrable colour. Cuvee Miraz 2015 is a dry wine with an intense concentration and is spiced with aromas of oak, spices, dark cherry and ripe plums.
The strong complexity and scent are contributed by well blended aromas of coffee, dark chocolate, tobacco and vanilla. It is soft in the mouth, with a perfect balance between fruitiness, alcohol spiciness and smokiness of spices. The ending if fruity, alive with spices, of pronounced freshness, enticing juiciness and giving a charming liveliness.
Cuvee Miraz 2015 is the first coupage by Feravino, which began its successful world premiere last spring at the Winexpo fair in Bordeaux, after which order came in from France.
