As Poslovni Dnevnik writes on the 8th of February, 2018, for the admission of the candidate, the Headquarters of the CAF will determine the structure according to the sex/service/profession and their specialties in accordance with the needs of the full members of the CAF.

At today’s session, the government adopted the 2018 Personnel Recruitment Plan in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Croatia, which envisages receiving 1,409 people, of which 836 will be received from the labour market, while the remaining 573 are already in the defense system and are changing their category within the military.

At the session of the government, Minister of Defense Damir Krstičević emphasised that the planning and staffing of the personnel has been significantly influenced by the process of recruiting and selecting staff in active military service, thus improving the age and education structure of the staff, while at the same time forming a personal structure.

”The man (man power) is the most valuable part of the system and the the center of development and upgrading of the victorious Croatian Army. Measures taken to restore the dignity of the military call have resulted in an increased interest in the approach to the Croatian Army,” Krstičević stated.

He also recalled that he was preparing another reading of the law on amendments to the Law on Armed Services in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Croatia, the fundamental aim of which is to raise the standard and conditions of the lives and the work of soldiers, officers, officials, and other employees.

”By adopting the law and through the implementation of this plan, soldiers or sailors will make the first contract for a fixed period of two years and the other contract for an indefinite period. The proposed solution achieves job security and the possibility of life planning,” Krstičević concluded.
