Heavy Traffic At Border Crossings and Towards Sea

HAK calls for vigilance and patience on the roads this weekend.

Another busy tourist weekend is upon us and the roads are as busy as ever. As Poslovni Dnevnik reports on the 19th of August, 2017, HAK (Hrvatski Auto Klub) has issued a call to drivers for increased vigilance on the A1 motorway between the Jastrebarsko and Karlovac junctions.

Towards the direction of the coast the traffic is very dense on the vast majority of roads and at a weaker to medium density towards the interior. There are long waiting times at several border crossings upon entrance into the Republic of Croatia.

The border crossings at Batrovci and Macelj are experiencing waiting times of several hours.

The Pula-Mali Lošinj-Zadar catamaran line is currently out of service owing to unfavourable weather conditions. All ferries and other catamarans are currently working as normal.
