April the 22nd, 2024 – The largest Jadrolinija vessel has arrived. Not long ago, the domestic shipping company acquired the largest ship in its history.
Having travelled down to the warm waters of the Adriatic from up in Northern Europe, the new Jadrolinija vessel is worth a fortune and can carry almost 2000 people.
As Poslovni Dnevnik writes, Jadrolinija was recently joined by the largest ship in its history. The large ship that arrived to join the iconic Croatian fleet from the north of Europe has now been renamed the Dalmacija. The investment it was involved in was worth a total of 18 million euros.
In the Viktor Lenac shipyard, it will be adapted to the recognisable visual identity of Jadrolinija, and until recently it was called Oslofjord. Its average speed is 17 knots, and its capacity is 1,800 people and 350 cars.
The new Jadrolinija vessel, built back in 1993, is intended to maintain the international Dubrovnik – Bari (Italy) line. Its characteristics will also enable Jadrolinija to change the concept of that particular line to a daily one with ten trips per week during the height of the summer season. That will provide a huge boost to both Dubrovnik and Bari and encourage far more traffic to, from and between both sides of the Adriatic Sea.
Passengers travelling on the new Jadrolinija vessel in the future will be offered a choice of two restaurants, three bars, a grill bar, a children’s playroom and an open deck across eight decks from which the views of the sparkling Adriatic, the Croatian coast and the neighbouring Italian coast can be enjoyed to the fullest.
