September the 3rd, 2026 – Jadrolinija has decided to extend its sailing season for the high speed Zadar-Ancona line until September the 6th.

Jadrolinija has stated that for its very first season of operation, the high speed Zadar-Ancona line has achieved positive results and great interest from passengers on both sides of the Adriatic. Poslovni reports that Croatia’s largest ferry company, Jadrolinija, will extend the first season of the high speed Zadar–Ancona line until the 6th of September due to excellent passenger interest.

“Jadrolinija has extended the sailing season for this line until the 6th of September, with additional trips on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, as well as promotional ticket prices. For adults the ticket costs 80 euros while children aged 3 to 12 travel for 40 euros,” Jadrolinija stated. They recalled that they introduced the high-speed Zadar–Ancona line this year as a new international connection that brings the Croatian and Italian sides of the Adriatic coast closer and enables travel between the two cities in approximately four hours on the vessel Jelena, which has a capacity of 400 passengers.

The strong interest from passengers on both sides of the Adriatic and the good response confirms the importance of fast, simple and direct connections between Croatia and Italy outside of air travel. It also confirms the Zadar-Ancona line’s potential for the further development of tourist and transport links between the two coastlines.

Back in 2025, Jadrolinija carried 12.6 million passengers, which is on a par with the previous record year and confirms stable demand, as well as 3.8 million vehicles, which is two percent more vehicles than the previous year. The growth and trend of these operational indicators are also accompanied by positive financial results. Jadrolinija’s fleet now comprises 58 vessels with an average age of 27.8 years, which is below the European average of around 33 years. Fleet renewal remains the company’s most important strategic project.
