June the 28th, 2023 – Former Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic has found new employment on the Global Preparedness Monitoring Board.

As Poslovni Dnevnik writes, Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic has a new job after having been appointed to the post of co-president of the Global Preparedness Monitoring Board (GPMB).

She says she is honoured

Being the modern woman she is, Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic took to social media to announce her new appointment and express her feelings on it. “I am honored to share the news of my appointment as Co-Chair of the Global Preparedness Monitoring Board (GPMB).

With thanks to the Co-Convenors of the Committee, the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the World Bank, it is a pleasure to work together with my colleague Co-Chair Joy Phumaphi.

The GPMB is a high-level monitoring and advocacy body tasked with providing a comprehensive assessment of global preparedness for health emergencies.

I look forward to cooperating with the Committee on the improvement of this critical work”, the former Croatian president announced on her Facebook page.

Kolindar Grabar-Kitarovic was succeeded by Zoran Milanovic and served as the President of the Republic of Croatia from 2015 to 2020, being the very first female elected to the office since Croatia’s multi-party elections back during the 1990s, shortly after gaining independence.
