Superior Graševina is the most awarded wine of Kutjevo Winery, and the new harvest was produced in an attractive and modern style in order to keep in line with global trends in winemaking. It has a characteristic golden yellow color with a greenish shine, substantial and developed varietal fruit-herbal bouquet and especially fresh aroma. This wine has an astounding harmony of all significant components of this unique variety. The 2017 Graševina offers a pleasant bitterness of a rounded body, crossing into a recognizable refreshing and moderately sour aftertaste with well preserved and blended acids.
Speaking to the audience was Ivan Marinclin, chief Kutjevo oenologist: “The past year was in the vine growing sense, especially difficult – temperatures rose in April, the summer was exceptionally hot and only a timely harvest could avoid harmful effects on grapes and the wine. In Kutjevo, we are especially pleased with last year’s harvest. Superior Graševina is of exceptional quality, and what brings me joy is the preserved freshness and emphasized aroma. This Graševina is made of grapes from our best vine growing positions – Vetovo, Hrnjevac and Vinkomir, guaranteeing the best raw material to produce this excellent wine. I believe the 2017 Superior Graševina will shine on the market as have many before it, finding their way to wine lovers in the region and beyond for decades.”
