Brushies have been developed in Vukovar.

Brushies, Croatian-produced toys that children can use to learn how to properly brush their teeth, are ready for sale through the company’s website, and soon will also be available through the Amazon’s European websites, announced the Code Consulting company from Vukovar, which developed the product, reports Večernji List on April 12, 2017.

In the new few days, Brushies will also launch a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo in order to collect funds for the development of a new generation of Brushies.

Brushies have been developed and designed in Vukovar, including the software application. “We have been working on this project for about a year. Brushies have been produced and they work, and the project also includes an application for smart phones. We are now in the phase of final adjustments, which will also be completed soon and then the product will officially hit the market,” said Saša Salamon, the owner of the Code Consulting company from Vukovar which created the product.

Brushies toys can be attached to any toothbrush. When a child starts to brush their teeth, that automatically activates the software which can be downloaded for free from the internet. Immediately afterwards, the screen of the smartphone or the tablet starts showing graphics reminiscent of cartoons, which enables children to learn in a fun way and motivates them to continue brushing their teeth.

The product’s website describes it as “all the fun of children’s favorite video game and the best dental check-up ever, rolled into one. Brushies makes healthy habits and confident smiles a game they will not want to put down. And long battery life means maximum smileage with no pesky interruptions. Parents love Brushies because their engaging games and positive reinforcement actually make kids want to brush and allow them to monitor their progress. Simply slide the ring that is attached to your Brushies character around your toothbrush, turn on your Bluetooth and get brushing. Interactive games use sensors data, fun challenges and colorful incentives to turn brushing from boring to a blast!”
