Nanodiy is a simple, yet innovative technology for printing on fabrics.

Saša Miklošić and Zoran Sušanj, who are operating in the business incubator in Koprivnica, have come up with Nanodiy as a solution to expedite printing on various fabrics, reports Poslovni.hr on April 24, 2016.

“Most of the printing facilities have several problems with fabric printing, while the present day customers are asking for quality products, fast delivery and low price. Because we have been ourselves printing T-shirts or using the services of nearby printing facilities, we came up with an idea to combine several technologies and try to accommodate the customers. That is how we created the first version of Nanodiy technology”, explained Saša Miklošić.

Nanodiy is a very simple fabric printing technique. Its creators decided to use affordable home printers to make prints on Nanodiy paper with the pigmented colour for textile. After printing, which lasts about 20 seconds, the colour on Nanodiy paper is “peppered” with the stabilizer and turned into a gel. The gelled colour is then transferred to a T-shirt with the thermal press. “This step lasts only 30 seconds, and one minute later we can hand the T-shirt over to the customer.”

“The printing method is very simple, there is no need for special training – a short instruction will suffice. The investment into Nanodiy is very small and financially affordable for many people”, said Miklošić. Many have shown interest because this is a multipurpose technology. Souvenir shops can use it, photographers, schools, sports clubs and boutiques. Meanwhile, the award they received for the best entrepreneur idea at the Voogle conference opened up the new possibilities for development.

“A number of investors have contacted us. Although we are interested in partnership cooperation with some of the investors, this communication is only in its initial stages. During the first part of this year, we are planning to create a distributor network in the region. In the fall, we will exhibit at the fairs in Milan, Belgrade, Frankfurt and Istanbul, in order to open new markets. We are also preparing a new product for textile printing which will be presented in the fall and we are certain that the market will react positively to it”, said Miklošić.
