September the 19th, 2020 – Croatian beer is well known and even more well enjoyed by many who grace the country’s shores each and every year, and Grif Pale Ale has gone one step further in impressing the public.

As Poslovni Dnevnik/Marta Duic writes on the 18th of September, 2020, Croatian Grif Pale Ale beer, produced by K Pivovara (Brewery), has won the title of the World’s Best Pale Golden Ale in the World Beer Awards 2020 competition, in contest with 2,200 beers from an impressive fifty countries. The judges decided on the quality and taste by the “blind tasting” method. Behind this recognition, as stated by this Zagreb company, is the entire K Pivovara team, and before the launch of the beer, they carried out liquid research and did several tastings to be sure of the taste and quality of Grif Pale Ale.

The company K Pivovara pointed out that the quality of Grif Pale Ale has also been very well recognised by consumers, meaning that the results were not lacking by any means, both in competitions and in sales volume. This year’s World Beer Award competition, which normally takes place in the United Kingdom, was done online via an app from Europe, Asia, Canada and South America, and beer connoisseurs announced the winners in nine categories.

It’s worth mentioning that through the brands Grif and Vukovarsko in their breweries in Zagreb and Vukovar, this company produces different types and styles of beer, and the team has 36 employees.

“The brewing industry is getting wider and becoming richer every year, new brands are constantly appearing, the market is becoming more and more segmented, the beer culture is getting richer and that really makes all beer lovers happy. So far, K Pivovara has shown that it knows how to make top-quality beer and that it is a creative and proactive company that follows and sets trends. In the coming period, we want to continue to progress in this direction and further profile ourselves as a top craft brewery. We have everything we need to achieve these goals,” said Leon Saric, the director of K Pivovara in a recent interview.
