Total Croatia News

This year’s campaign will take place at Ban Jelačić Square on September 21 – 22.

The 20th edition of the most popular campaign by the Croatian Chamber of Economy, Let’s Buy Croatian (Kupujmo hrvatsko), will take place at Ban Jelačić Square September 21 – 22, 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.

The Chamber has proudly stated that the campaign represents the most powerful traditional symbol of cherishing Croatian national values. “The goal is to contribute to national manufacture, in order to preserve existing and creating new workplaces.”

The project started in 1997 as an idea to acknowledge top-quality Croatian products and label them with Croatian Quality (Hrvatska kvaliteta) and Croatian Creation (Izvorno hrvatsko) marks. In the past 20 years, the project has turned into a national campaign with a great significance for the economy and society. The Croatian Chamber of Economy has continually promoted companies, trades, associations and family farms, as well as individuals who have contributed to the development of the economy.

This year’s campaign will last two days, to enable more people to present their products, and potential distributors and vendors will also be present.

The aim is to educate and raise awareness among the public about the importance of buying Croatian products as a means of opening new jobs and securing present jobs, while increasing the competitiveness of Croatian economy at the same time.

All Chamber members can participate in the campaign free of charge, while other trades wishing to participate need to pay HRK 500. The Chamber of Economy will ensure an exhibition place, power connection, a banner, promotion before, during, and after the campaign, and web advertising on the campaign’s website and Facebook page.
