From practical raincoats for kids to umbrellas made of recycled bottles.

DM-Drogerie Markt, a German drugstore chain in Croatia, will soon include in its stores a selection of raincoats for kids, with a reflecting tape on them to ensure children’s safety in traffic. These practical and comfortable raincoats are made by a small plant based in Zaprešić near Zagreb, reports poslovni.hr on March 4, 2016.

The plant is working at full capacity to the delight of both its employees and customers. Marin Rogić takes care of the company’s structure and its internal organization, while his wife Nataša Rogić works with vendors and customers. They never leave work, at least not in their mind. For them, this is not just a job. Their unshakable enthusiasm guided them to where they are now and it seems that it will take them even further.

Marin Rogić says they will keep broadening their cooperation with business partners and advancing their offer on the market. They are planning a premium line, including umbrellas with luxurious handles made of chestnut or walnut. Personalized umbrellas will be another addition to the range. Customers will have an opportunity to order umbrellas with images of their choice. “So, new raincoats for DM stores are ready, but we are now also discussing the manufacturing of umbrellas made of recycles plastic bottles. We want the Croatian umbrella to be recognizable in Europe”, he said.

The company has many plans, Marin added, including the launch of its new website where customers will be able to shop online. “However, we always put our employees in our focus. My business role model is Oskar Schindler, a skilled German industrialist and, above all, an incredible person and philanthropist who, among other things, saved Jews from torture and death during the World War II.”

Nataša noted that entrepreneurs should not simply rely on the state, and pointed out the significance of strong will, determination and vision. If the state helps with grants or interest subsidies, she added, that’s a welcome move as well.
