The white Moët Ice Impérial was launched for the first time several years ago, a sweet champagne served and consumed with ice, and now, following in the global trend of the sale of rose wines, it has a pink version, ideal for cocktails

The Mali Lošinj hotel group Jadranka, made up of six hotels, four camps, Jadranka stores and Jadranka Yachting, truly seriously views its mission: to advance tourism on the island (and beyond) and attract real, luxury guests. Their coming investments are heading in that direction: Lošinj Airport and golf courses in Punta Križa on Cres Island should confirm the entire destination as unique, exclusive and truly special.

It is not a coincidence that here, not elsewhere on the Adriatic, a series of very successful wine dinners has already been held, gala dinners with exclusive wines, wine masterclasses, whiskey workshops and cocktail presentations, the last one thanks to Darko Uremović, a superior cocktail master with a clear vision of the development of the bar in Bellevue.

Superior Plešivica winemakers Tomac, Korak and Šember were presented here, but also the famous global wine house Mouton Rotschild; the legendary Opus One was on offer, as well as Sassicaia. Superior wines with a signature of the Antinori house, specifically Tenuta di Biserno, and Istrian platinum winemakers Benvenuti were also glad to be part of this luxurious ambience.

Quite logically, it was here, on the terrace of the Mali Lošinj hotel Bellevue, next to open air pools and distinguished guests, that the Moët Ice Impérial Rosé champagne was presented. It is truly an excellent, very fruity champagne, specially created to go with ice cubes, presented masterfully here – pink flamingos and white-gold tubes swam through the pool, all with Moët logos, “guarded” by plastic, but still dignified Moët penguins with bow ties. The white Moët Ice Impérial was launched for the first time several years ago, a sweet champagne served and consumed with ice, and now, following in the global trend of the sale of rose wines, it has a pink version, ideal for cocktails.

The idea is for the Ice Impérial to bring champagnes closer to a younger audience, the so-called clubbing audience, to be consumed in bars, clubs and – by the pool, with ice, as the name says – champagne piscine. The dominance of Pinot Nero and Pinot Meunier in Moët Ice Impérial and Ice Impérial Rosé champagnes enables an abundance, even an explosion of tastes which ice additionally promotes. We are truly meeting with a new summer sensation, a refreshing champagne of pink colour with traces of gold, more glamorous than the norm, with an intense and fruity aroma and lively taste.

The regional VIP presentation of the champagnes was attended by Goran FIlipović, Board Member of Jadranka, Gordan Mohor and Vlado Šušak for Miva Wine Gallery, Jadranko Smokrović, director of sales development of Moët Hennessy for central Europe and representatives of the Moët Hennessy group: Anna Wlodarz, general manager of Moët Hennessy for central and south Europe and Daniel Sebe, marketing manager of Moët Hennessy for central Europe.

The champagne was presented by Ted Lelekas, brand ambassador of Moët Hennessy for central and south Europe, and the first among the journalists to taste the champagne were some well-known ladies.

Before the first bottle of Ice Rosé was opened, Board Member of Jadranka, gastronomist Goran Filipović pointed out that it is in the interest of Bellevue and other Jadranka superior hotels and restaurants to support leading global brands such as Moët, also mentioning that TripAdvisor has declared Bellevue the best five-star hotel. Representatives of Moët and Miva, the Croatian dealer of LVMH, presented the champagne by extracting bottles from small blocks of ice, while the guests were taken with a VIP train to a party in Borik, a lovely stone beach with a very good bar, where they viewed the sunset with bottles of Moët. After ten in the evening the party continued in Čikat Bay at Bellevue’s beach, where the superior Grand Vintage 2006 was offered. The gastronomy part of the event was the duty of Bellevue Hotel chef, delicacies made from fresh and indigenous ingredients, such as boškarin Carpaccio with curd and honey, lamb loin with almond peel or pralines with island tastes. Small bites went great with the new Moët champagne ace. Cheers – hopefully with champagne – at whichever pool, island, lake, river or city garden you may be!
