NK Osijek Bus Catches Fire on Slavonska Avenija in Zagreb

On Tuesday around 15:00, a bus resembling the features of the Croatian First League football club NK Osijek caught fire on Slavonska Avenija in Zagreb. Due to the closure of Slavonska Avenija, there was a traffic collapse, reports 24 Sata on August 22, 2017. 

Readers have told 24 Sata that the driver was the only one on board the bus. You can watch a video of the event on 24 Sata.

Firefighters arrived at the scene quickly and extinguished the fire rapidly. As of now, the material damage is unknown.

NK Osijek confirmed that there were no Osijek footballers on this bus. The first league team from the Drava uses five different buses owned by APP Požega that bear the same characteristics. 

NK Osijek will be making their way to Sankt Pölten in Austria where they will play their return match of the Europa League playoffs against Austria Wien this week. 

When these buses are not used by the football club, they are used to transport passengers on standard routes.
