ZAGREB, January 28, 2019 – The leader of the newly-founded political party START, Dalija Orešković, said in Lički Osik on Sunday that her party aimed to win parliamentary elections in two years’ time and that it also planned to run in early local elections in Lika-Senj County.

The founding convention of the new political party was held on Saturday without media presence.

Dalija Orešković, a former chair of the parliamentary conflict of interest commission, spoke to reporters in Lički Osik today about her party’s platform.

Our fight for the state that has been captured begins today in Lika, Orešković said.

“Lika personifies the captured state, where all local and regional institutions have been captured, where fake patriots led by Dado (Darko) Milinović and the HDZ decide who gets hired and where, when they can get an appointment with their doctor, and how many times a road will be asphalted at an abnormally high price,” said Orešković.

She said that the party was open to all who wanted Croatia to be a better and fairer society.

Asked about presidential elections and whether she would run for president, Orešković said that her party aimed to win parliamentary elections in two years’ time, adding that the party would have a presidential candidate but she would not reveal who it was.
