The latest election polls show a very tight race on Sunday.

A large pre-election poll conducted by the Ipsos Puls agency for Nova TV on a sample of 400 citizens in each constituency gives us reasons to believe that the result of Sunday’s parliamentary elections could be extremely tight. Nova TV on Tuesday announced the results for the 4th, 8th and 10th parliamentary constituency, in which the difference between the two leading coalitions could be just one seat, reports Slobodna Dalmacija on November 4, 2015.

In the fourth electoral constituency, HDZ’s coalition (35%) wins 6 seats, SDP’s coalition (30%) 5 seats, with HDSSB (11%) receiving 2 seats. There is a possibility that MOST (5%) could win one seat, as well as Živi Zid (5%). If MOST or Živi Zid do win a seat, HDSSB would have only one member of parliament from this constituency.

In the eight parliamentary constituency, SDP’s Croatia Is Growing coalition (43%) wins 7 seats, while HDZ’s Patriotic Coalition (16%) wins 3 seats. Istrian regional party IDS (17%) also wins 3 seats, while MOST (6%) wins one seat in the parliament. However, it is possible that a HDZ or an IDS seat could go to Živi Zid (5%) or the party of Zagreb mayor Milan Bandić (4%).

In the tenth electoral constituency, HDZ’s Patriotic Coalition (38%) wins 7 seats, SDP’s coalition (29%) wins 5 seats, and MOST wins 2 seats (15%). There is a possibility that two seats could change hands, with one going to Živi Zid and another to MOST, which could end up with two members of parliament from this constituency.

After the results in these three constituencies and in two constituencies for which the results were published on Monday, ruling Croatia Is Growing coalition has 30 seats in parliament, opposition Patriotic Coalition has 29 seats, MOST 5 seats, IDS 3 seats, HDSSB 2 seats, and Živi Zid 1 seat.

For comparison, according to the survey conducted by Promocija Plus for RTL earlier this month, in the fourth constituency Patriotic Coalition won 7 seats, Croatia Is Growing won five seats, while HDSSB won two seats. In the eight constituency, the results were the same when it comes to major competitors – Croatia Is Growing had 7 seats, and Patriotic Coalition and IDS 3 seats each. In the tenth constituency, Patriotic Coalition won 7 seats, Croatia Is Growing won 6 seats, with one seat going to MOST.
