President of Liberland nominates new ministers, opens representative office in Prague on December 15, 2016. A press release.
PRAGUE — As of today, 434,000 people have registered their interest in becoming Liberland citizens and 115,000 people have applied for citizenship. Liberland currently operates diplomatic offices in over 80 countries. Liberland continues to build good relations with other governments, including the incoming Donald Trump administration in the United States, as noted by the Washington Post recently. Beppe Grillo, the noted Italian reform politician and leader of the Five Star Movement, declared his own residence in Italy as a representative office of Liberland.
Today we welcome many actively serving diplomats as well as politicians to our gala event. permanent representative office of Liberland, located at Kopernikova 10, will serve all 10,000 people in the Czech Republic who have requested Liberland citizenship. The purpose of this office is to develop exceptional relations with the political and diplomatic community as well as to provide services to e-residents and citizens of Liberland based in the Czech Republic.
President Vít Jedlička of Liberland has also nominated two new ministers: Thomas Walls of the United States will serve as the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Denis Pirc of Slovenia will take on the role of the Minister of Interior. The Liberland Finance Minister Jan Purkrabek has also created the Council of Economic Advisors and nominated Alexander Borodich of Lithuania as a chairman of the council.
