Speaking to reporters after a meeting with Split-Dalmatia County head Blaženko Boban, Ćorić said that he was informed at the meeting about the implementation of the Lećevica project, noting that project documentation was being adjusted to the new programming period.

“The plan is to start work on the Lećevica project in 2023, and the second stage, which concerns unsorted municipal waste, is planned for 2024 and 2025,” Ćorić said, adding that in counties across Croatia additional infrastructure would be provided, if necessary, to improve waste management.

“We are talking about additional containers, recycling yards and possibly new sorting and composting facilities,” he said.

Answering reporters’ questions, Ćorić said that by the end of February the government would present its measures to alleviate the impact of gas prices on households, expected to go up as of 1 April.

He recalled that so far 63,000 households in Croatia had received electricity vouchers.
