Croatian President spent the last few days in Međugorje and surrounding areas of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
On Sunday evening, Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović ended her private visit to Medjugorje. She spent the last day of her visit rafting on the Neretva river. Together with friends, she kayaked down the canyon of the Neretva River and stopped as a more peaceful part of the rapids to take a photo, reports Večernji List on August 15, 2016.
In the last few days, the President and her friends participated at masses held in Međugorje. She also climbed to the Apparition Hill and Križevac. During the visit, she met with Croatian member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Dragan Čović.
She visited Franciscan monastery in Široki Brijeg and Franciscan monastery in Mostar, where she toured the new home for students and climbed the Bell Tower of Peace.
The president also visited Ljubuški, Kupres, Tomislavgrad and Rama. She spent her vacation working, talking with a number of officials, businessmen, local dignitaries and citizens.
