Wreaths Laid on 27th Anniversary of Croatian Army Establishment

ZAGREB, May 27, 2018 – A Defence Ministry delegation led by Minister Damir Krstičević on Sunday laid wreaths and lit candles at Zagreb’s Mirogoj cemetery on the occasion of the 27th anniversary of the establishment of the Croatian Armed Forces and Croatian Army Day, observed on May 28.

Krstičević and his associates laid wreaths and lit candles at the graves of former defence ministers Gojko Šušak and Martin Špegelj, former army chiefs of staff Petar Stipetić and Zvonimir Červenko, former Air Force commander Imra Agotić, and Croatia’s first president Franjo Tuđman.

Wreaths were also laid at a monument commemorating Croatian soldiers killed in the 1991-95 Homeland War and at a common grave of unidentified war victims.
