Živi Zid Presents Its Electoral Manifesto

Another political election manifesto is launched in Croatia.

Živi Zid, which will not enter into any of the pre-election coalitions, has invited citizens to join them in resisting the “HDZ-SDP axis”, saying that the most important items in their electoral manifesto are the return of looted state property and the revision of privatization, reports Slobodna Dalmacija on September 9, 2015.

“I call on all individuals, organizations and associations to join Živi Zid as a movement and to liberate Croatia from debt slavery, from HDZ-SDP pests who have led us here, to eliminate political corruption and return all assets that have been stolen from the people during the last 25 years”, said the candidate for prime minister Ivan Sinčić at a press conference. Sinčić added said Živi Zid will have its candidates in all 12 constituencies.

Stressing that the return of stolen property is the main point of their electoral program, he stated that Živi Zid estimates that, due to corruption, tax evasion, pillage of public property, bribery and war profiteering, about 60 billion euros have been stolen from Croatia so far. He said that Živi Zid will try to find the robbed money and return it to Croatian citizens. “Without that, the politics do not make sense for us”, he said. Sinčić added that Živi Zid is committed to returning to every citizen a minimum of five and a maximum of fifteen thousand euros, which would be about a third of the stolen property.

Živi Zid will advocate the monetary reform as well, because they want to change the role of the Croatian National Bank, so that in the future it would stimulate employment, production and competitiveness. “We are committed to the abolition of loans in foreign currency and to the establishment of realistic exchange rate”, said Sinčić. He added that no other party would agree to their manifesto and therefore cooperation with them is not possible.

Ivan Pernar warned that currently there is an unresolved problem of 320,000 citizens with blocked bank accounts and with an unknown number of seized properties and that no political option other than Živi Zid perceives that problem. “We expect that SDP and HDZ, as the two axes of evil, will try to present themselves as friends of the people with problems, even though they are the ones who created problems for them in the first place”, said Pernar.
