October the 1st, 2026 – Record revenue from foreign tourists in Croatia during the first 6 months of 2026 has amounted to incredible sums, amounting to well over 3 billion euros.
In the first six months of this year, 2.5 billion euros more revenue was generated than in the same period of 2016, said Tonči Glavina. As Novi list reports, according to the latest data from the Croatian National Bank (HNB), in the second quarter of 2026 revenues from foreign tourists amounted to 3 billion and 641.7 million euros, which represents growth of almost 4 percent compared to the same period in 2025, or 132.7 million euros more.
Overall, in the first half of 2026, revenues from foreign tourists amounted to 4 billion and 587 million euros, which represents growth of almost 5 percent compared to the same period in 2025, or 212.4 million euros more. In addition, strong growth in domestic tourism also contributed to the positive results of the tourist year.

In the first six months of 2026, a record 1.5 million arrivals and 4.2 million overnight stays by domestic tourists were recorded, which is 7 percent more arrivals and 6 percent more overnight stays than a year earlier.
“The excellent indicators in the pre-season are the result of strong strategic and promotional activities that we adapted to changes in the market, thereby continuing the positive trends of Croatian tourism even in this extremely challenging year. If we compare these financial results with those recorded back in 2016, revenues from foreign tourists have risen by 120 percent, both in the second quarter and in the first half of the year.
In the first six months of this year, 2.5 billion euros more revenue was generated than in the same period of 2016, while in the second quarter revenue was higher by two billion euros compared to the same period ten years ago. In line with all our strategic goals, we’re permanently changing Croatian tourism for the better in all segments,” emphasised Minister of Tourism and Sport Tonči Glavina.
