The Croatian national football team goes on a Chinese tour in January, and today coach Ante Čačić has announced the names of those that made the roster. It is important to note that during this time, many of the national team’s biggest stars can not leave their club teams, once again giving an opportunity to many of the younger players who participate in MAXtv Prva Liga.

Therefore, coach Čačić has called up players mainly from HNL, and the roster includes: five players from the first-placed Rijeka, four from second-placed Dinamo, three from the third-placed Osijek, two from fourth-placed Hajduk, and one player from Inter and Locomotiva. In addition, Čačić has called up Filip Ozobić of Azerbaijan Gabala and Toni Datković of the Slovenian Kopar reports Vecernji List on 19 December 2016.

The national team will gather on January 7 in Zagreb, and on that same day will travel to China where they will play their first match in the tournament on January 11 against Chile.

In the second semi-finals, Croatia will meet Iceland and China; and the teams that were defeated on January 14 will play for third place. The winners will play for the title of the first “China Cup” on January 15.
