29-year-old Bojan Bogdanović continues his thrilling NBA season for the Indiana Pacers and scored an average of 27.2 points in the last five games.
Six games were played in the NBA league on Tuesday night, and once again, we must highlight yet another phenomenal performance of Croatia’s best basketball player Bojan Bogdanović, who helped the Indiana Pacers to victory, reports Index.hr on March 6, 2019.
Indiana celebrated at home against the Chicago Bulls 105:96. Bogdanović scored 27 points in his 35 minutes on the court and added six rebounds. He achieved an excellent 9/14 shots in play, hit4/5 three-pointers, and made 5/6 from the free-throw line.
Most impressive is that in the last five games, “Babo” played at the level of the top scorers in the NBA league. Namely, Bogdanović has scored an average of 27.2 points in that period, and better yet, he did not play a game where he scored less than 22 points. Moreover, in the win against Šarić’s Minnesota Timberwolves, Bogdanović scored an incredible 37 points!
This outstanding form pushes Bogdanović into the league of the best scorers in the NBA, such as Kevin Durant, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Steph Curry. Of course, each of them has averaged 27 points throughout the season, while Babo has only reached the same level for the last five games.
Throughout the season, Croatia’s best basketball player has achieved an average of 17.5 points and four rebounds per game. Even before these last five games, Bogdanović had the best season of his career, and after the injury of the Pacers’ best player, Victor Oladipo, Bogdanović has opened up and been given more responsibility. Fortunately, he’s taken on this new role well.
We should also point out the great match of Bogdanović’s teammate Myles Turner, who almost reached the triple-double with blocks. He achieved 7 and added 10 points and 11 rebounds.
Despite problems with injuries, Indiana sits in an excellent third place in the Eastern Conference with 41 victories and 23 defeats.
