Did Luka Modrić decide to stay on the national team? Did Darijo Srna decide to rejoin? Here’s a look at the roster for the upcoming national team matches.

The coach of the Croatian national football team, Ante Čačić, has published the list of players for the upcoming European qualifiers for World Cup 2018 against Kosovo and Turkey, announces HNS on August 14, 2017.

Čačić has decided to bring 23 players, including a couple of new names.

After a great season in Monaco and Milan and an excellent start at FC Spartak in Moscow, Čačić has included Mario Pašalić on the roster for the upcoming matches. The list also includes the captains of Hajduk and Osijek, Borna Barišić and Zoran Nižić, and from the Croatian First League, Čačić has called upon Rijeka’s Filip Bradarić and Dinamo’s Dominik Livaković.

Croatian captain Luka Modrić has decided to fulfil his national team duties after all. His predecessor, Darijo Srna, has politely declined Čačić’s offer to return from representative retirement in hopes of helping the team qualify for the World Cup next year.

On September 2, 2017, Croatia will host Kosovo at Maksimir Stadium in Zagreb, and three days later they will head to Eskisehir to face Turkey.
