The rosters for the upcoming Croatian national football team matches have been released by coach Ante Čačić.

Croatian national football team coach Ante Čačić has published the list of players for the upcoming friendly match with Mexico and the European qualifier for World Cup 2018 against Iceland, announces HNS on May 22, 2017.

Taking into account that the friendly meeting is outside of the usual FIFA schedule and the fact that a number of championships are still ongoing, the match against Mexico, which will be played in Los Angeles on May 27, 2017, will see just 16 players.

The chosen roster becomes even more interesting because many of the players that have been called up to the national team play their final round of the MAXtv First League next weekend. Cibalia and RNK Split, who are both fighting for survival to remain in the First League, are set to play Lokomotiva and Osijek, both of which have players that have been invited to play in Los Angeles.

Čačić has also released the list of players for the European qualifier for World Cup 2018 against Iceland which will be played in Reykjavik on June 11, 2017.

For this match, Čačić has called up 23 players, but because of injuries, the roster does not include national team regulars Vedran Ćorluka, Šime Vrsaljko, Marko Pjaca and Andrej Kramarić. Instead, the roster sees the additions of Mario Pašalić, Franko Andrijašević, Ivan Santini, and Dejan Lovren.

The national team will meet on Monday evening at the hotel As and begin their journey to Los Angeles on Tuesday morning.
