Čilić was due to meet Karlović in the third round of the Wimbledon Championships, but as Karlović lost his match against Lacko, the Croatian number one will have to face him instead.

Marin Čilić has won his second round match at the Wimbledon Championships against Ukrainian Sergiy Stakhovski on June 30. 2016 and will face Lukas Lacko in the third round. Čilić won after a long match 6-2, 6-7, 6-4, 6-4, due to rain delays during the play.
