The Croatia national team will play yet another friendly game to close out the 2019 schedule.

Leaders of the Croatian Football Federation, led by President Davor Šuker, have been searching to find the most attractive opponent for Zlatko Dalić’s team after the qualifying cycle for the 2020 European Championship comes to an end, reports T.portal on February 18, 2019.

After choosing a date and several offered selections, Croatia will play the national team of Georgia, scheduled for November 19, 2019, in Croatia. For now, we do not know which city will host the 2018 World Cup finalists, though we are sure that anything but a victory would be shocking, considering that Georgia currently occupies the 91st place on the latest FIFA rankings.

Three days earlier, on November 16, Zlatko Dalić’s team will welcome Slovakia in the last qualifying match for Euro 2020. Croatia has also agreed to another friendly match this year, which will be played against Tunisia on June 11 in Varaždin.

The Croatia national team has played two matches against Georgia to date, and both competitive games in the 2012 European Championship qualifiers. In Tbilisi, Croatia lost 1:0 from a goal by Kobiashvili in the 90th minute, while they reversed the result in Split – after Kankava’s goal put Georgia in the lead, Croatia’s three points were secured by Mario Mandžukić and Nikola Kalinić in 76th and 78th minutes.

Recall, Croatia will open their Euro qualifications in March at Maksimir stadium in Zagreb against Azerbaijan, which has recently been led by Croatian expert Nikola Jurčević. Following this match, Croatia will play Hungary away.
