Croatian Basketball League Results – Zagreb Close to ABA League Spot

Total Croatia News

Round up of all the matches of Croatian A1 Champions League, round seven.

We already wrote that the Croatian Basketball League will be more exciting than expected, and on April 22, 2016, we got another confirmation. In four matches played this evening, there is not a single win with a double digit margin. And of course, there was a big surprise win again too.

Cibona was the strong favorite entering the match against Kvarner but managed a win with just a single point margin. Zagreb won in Šibenik and is now in a comfortable position on the table after half of the season. It can be said they are close to clinching the ABA League spot for the next season.

Zadar lost another match, at home against Gorica, which was the surprise of the day, as it is only the second win for the away team. Zadar will have to stage a miracle in the second part of the season to ensure the ABA League qualification.

Cedevita won in Split, in what ended up being a comfortable win, although the home team was in the lead after the first half. In the second, the quality and experience of the away players prevailed, and it seems that Cedevita will get the number one spot in the playoffs.

Here are all the results of round seven, and the league table:

Cibona – Kvarner 89-88

Zadar – Gorica 68-70

Šibenik – Zagreb 86-90
