February 27, 2024 – Lokomotiva and Hajduk are the first two Croatian Cup semi-finalists this season, while the final two teams will be learned tomorrow.
Lokomotiva became the first Croatian Cup semi-finalist after knocking out Osijek 1-0 (0-0) in the quarter-final at Kranjčevićeva, spoiling the 77th birthday of the Osijek club.
The winning goal was scored by Robert Mudražija in the 51st minute. In the 86th minute, Osijek’s Ramon Mierez’s penalty was saved by Lokomotiva goalkeeper Zvonimir Šubarić, the hero of the match .
After a disappointing away draw to Varaždin in the Croatian league match last weekend, Hajduk toppled Varaždin in the Croatian Cup quarter-final match at Poljud, winning 5-0!
Diallo kicked off Hajduk’s scoring spree in the 43rd minute, and a beautiful free kick from Krovinović seconds before halftime gave Hajduk the 2-0 lead. Three more goals came from Laszlo Kleinheisler (64th), Josip Elez (67th) and Marko Livaja (72nd-penalty) for the final 5-0.
Hajduk is the defending champion and has won the Croatian Cup in the last two seasons.
On Wednesday, Dinamo meets Gorica and Rudeš plays Rijeka.
