Croatian Rowers Martin and Valent Sinković Win Gold at the World Championships

Total Croatia News

More rowing glory for Croatia.

Croatian rowers, brothers Martin and Valent Sinković, have won a gold medal in the final race of double scull at the World Championships in Aiguebelette in France. They were the fastest in the final race, in front of Lithuanians who won the silver medal and the duo from New Zealand who finished with the bronze medal, reports Index.hr on September 6, 2015.

The Sinković brothers have continued their series of sensational successes, during which they have been undefeated for the last 14 months. They have also managed to defend the world gold medal won last year in Amsterdam.

The brothers have won eight medals at major competitions, five in quad scull (together with Damir Martin and David Šain) and three in double scull.

Their goal for the next year is to win the gold medal at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. They have already qualified for the Olympics, where they will be one of the major favourites.

Martin and Valent Sinković are not the only Croatians who will take part in the World Championships finals. Damir Martin will fight for a medal in a single scull.
