Croatia won against Bahrein, and Norway got a point against Denmark yesterday, today’s match is a decider
Everything is set for the deciding game on April 10, 2016, as Croatia will face Norway in the last round of the Olympic qualification tournament. Croatia won against Bahrein yesterday 33-22, and Norway and Denmark ended their match in a draw.
Croatia has played a bad first half against outsiders Bahrein, but after harsh words by coach Babić during halftime, players improved their game in the second half. Today, Croatia has to win, as any other result will not be enough to qualify for the Rio Olympics.
It will be a tough task as Norway was on the verge of winning against Denmark yesterday, and in the first two days of the tournament has shown much better form than the Croatian team.
Coach Babić will hope to get the proper response from the players, as there is no return after this match, which is the only way to get to the Olympics. Croatia and Norway have met on four occasions in the last year, and each team has won on two of those occasions.
Coach Babić has announced some changes in the team today, as Ivan Slišković should be ready for today’s match. In the past, Croatian team played at its best when most needed, so one can hope today they will deliver the right kind of approach to the game.
Kick-off for the game is 18.00 CET.
