For months the Catalans have been talking about bringing over Darijo Srna, the former captain of the Croatian National Team, as the right side option for the Catalan giants, Barcelona.
Srna currently plays for Shakhtar in which he has since 2003, and we imagine that after all he has given the club they would not make much fuss about him going to Catalonia. Vecernji List reports that Robert Jarni, former member of the Croatian National Team, believes that Srna should be at Barcelona.
“If it were me, I would have no doubt about bringing Srna over,” commented Jarni for Cadena SER.
“He has a lot of experience, and a real pro unblemished career. I think he would have no problem taking up the challenge.”
The possibility of having Srna over to Barcelona opened in conversation because the Spanish champions are dissatisfied Aleix Vidal, who arrived at Camp Nou as the successor to Dani Alves.
Jarni also commented on Ivan Rakitić, who has been at Barcelona for two years.
“He is a very important in the game for Barcelona. Should he take more responsibility now that there is no Iniesta? He can organize attacks for Barcelona, but Iniesta is difficult to replace because we all know who Iniesta is. But, he can certainly do a good job and can successfully play with Neymar, Messi or Suarez.”
