Euro 2016 Draw – Croatia in Group D with Spain, Czech Republic and Turkey

Total Croatia News

It’s will definitely not be a walk in the park for Croatian team

The draw for this summer’s 2016 European Championship Finals was held on December 12, 2015 in Paris, France. Croatian football fans had to wait for quite a long time to find out which group Croatia will end up playing since it was one of the very last teams to be drawn.

In the end, Croatia will play in Group D alongside top seeded Spain, Czech Republic and Turkey (yes, our memory goes back to EURO 2008 game between Croatia and Turkey and Croatia’s loss after tragic penalties).

Croatia played both against Spain and against the Czech Republic before, Spain defeated Croatia 1-0 in their final group game at UEFA EURO 2012 while Croatia forward Nikola Kalinić scored twice in a 4-2 friendly win in Pula in February 2012 – the first time the Czech Republic had conceded four goals in a game.

Here are all the groups of Euro 2016:

Croatia will play its first match on June 12, 2016 against Turkey, second game is against the Czech Republic in St. Etienne on June 17, and the last group stage game will be played on July 21 against Spain in Bordeaux.
