Croatia’s U-21 side has secured another victory in their Euro 2019 qualifiers.

The Croatian national U-21 team have secured yet another win in their Euro 2019 qualifiers, and this time against the Czech Republic for a 5:1 victory in Varaždin, reports HNS on October 9, 2017.

Continuing their path to the Euro Championship in Italy and San Marino in two years, Croatia’s U-21 have now secured three wins in their group, defeating Moldova, Belarus, and the Czech Republic to date.

In their blowout win against the Czech Republic tonight, Croatia came out strong, securing their first goal in the ninth minute from the boot of Karačić.

While the Czechs had a few opportunities blocked by Croatia’s goalkeeper Posavec in the first half, Croatia increased their lead in the 36th minute with a goal by new Everton signing Nikola Vlašić. The game was 2:0 for Croatia at the half.

At the start of the second half, Brekalo took the ball up the left side and scored for 3:0, and Moro broke in front of Stanek in the 63rd minute to increase the lead further for 4:0.

In the 70th minute, the Czech Republic saw their first goal when Mihalik defeated the Croatian defense for 4:1, but ten minutes before the end of the final whistle, Vlašić once again found the back of the net for a final score of 5:1.

Croatia’s U-21 side await two more appearances in November – at home against San Marino and away in Greece, who also have the maximum nine points in their three matches played.
