Hajduk Keeper Lovre Kalinic to Struggling Aston Villa in £3 Million Deal?

Is Hajduk’s star keeper off to the Premiership? 

After an excellent season so far, Hajduk’s giant goalkeeper Lovre Kalinic looks set for a move to the Premiership, reports the Daily Mirror on December 26, 2015.

His destination – in a reported £3 million deal – is relegation threatened Aston Villa, who are stuck at the bottom of the table with just 8 points. They can certainly use the services of the 6 foot 7 stopper, who set a club records of clean sheets earlier this season, breaking the previous record of 711 minutes.

If the move goes through, Villa fans will hope Kalinic will be as successful as other Hajduk stars in the Premiership, including Niko Krancjar, Slaven Bilic, Alen Boksic and Igor Stimac. Even if he does not reach those heights, fans will be hoping he will not be as bad as their last Croatian purchase. Bosko Balaban regularly features in lists of the biggest Premiership flops ever.
